The Waghorn family have lived and traded in the East Sussex, West Kent area for many hundreds of years.

Below is the summons displayed by Fred’s Great Grandfather in the original Eight Bells Inn (long since demolished) and the then relatively new Ostrich Inn at Robertsbridge.  Ebor, both innkeeper and landlord, exhibited his summons in the bar, as a mark of his innocence.  Partridges are not known to sit in tree’s
